About the role

We are looking for a professional Wills, Estates & Succession Planning Lawyer to join our busy team to deliver high quality services to our clients. Our client base is diverse, spanning individuals, multi-generational families and business owners, and the role will see you servicing this diverse base to meet all succession, estate administration and estate dispute needs.

You will work closely with our Head of Department and our team, including providing support and guidance to early career lawyers and law graduates. You will also cooperate with other teams within our firm to provide collaborative service and advice.

You will provide tailored advice to a variety of clients and will have demonstrated attention to detail and a focus on building lasting partnerships with clients and other stakeholders.

Your role will include:

  • Preparation of wills, including testamentary trusts
  • Probate applications
  • Letters of administration
  • Estate administration
  • Complex Estate planning
  • Part IV/Estate Litigation
  • Powers of Attorney
  • VCAT Guardianship and administration matters

You will deliver:

  • Excellent client focused service
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Efficient time management to maintain control of key priorities
  • Specialised, tailored advice
  • Coaching and mentoring

You will bring:

  • At least four years’ experience in Wills, Estates & Succession Planning
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work well within a team
  • Positive, proactive and flexible attitude
  • Experience with Lexis Affinity desirable but not essential
  • Experience in Part IV/Estate Litigation matters preferred but not essential
