About the role

We are looking for a professional and highly motivated Special Counsel with demonstrated experience in all areas of Property & Development law including:

  • Sales and Acquisitions
  • Adverse possession
  • Retirement Villages
  • Duties
  • GST and CGT withholding
  • Land tax
  • Owners Corporation
  • Off the Plan
  • Land development, including subdivisions, covenants and easements

This is a rare opportunity for someone interested in growing a practice, building a team and developing themselves and the people around them.

We are looking for someone who is able to work full time and be based in either our Geelong or Melbourne office with flexibility to work from home.

You will need

  • At least seven years post-admission experience in Property & Development.
  • Proven experience practising in a team environment and coaching and mentoring those around you.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate a strong client base and build a practice.
  • Ability to interact confidently with clients and build effective working relationships.
  • Proven ability to provide an excellent quality of work.
  • Ability to engage in business development.

You will bring

  • Broad Property & Development law knowledge.
  • Proven ability to work in a high volume team.

  • Positive, proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Experience with PEXA and SPEAR essential.
  • Experience with Lexis Affinity and iManage desirable but not essential.
