Priya is a Senior Associate in our Wills, Estates and Succession Team across our Geelong and Melbourne Offices.

Priya has been working in the legal industry since 2007 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2016.

Priya commenced her legal career as a generalist lawyer practicing in all areas of law such as family law, property law, insurance law and employment law before specialising in estate planning, estate administration, estate disputes and contested Will matters with a strong focus on dispute resolution where she combines empathy and pragmatism to help her clients navigate the most challenging times of their lives.

Known for her warmth, compassion and deep technical knowledge, Priya is able to break down complex legal principles into simple terms and find solutions to even the most challenging and unique legal issues.

Priya was born in Singapore and moved to Australia in 2009. When she is not lawyering, Priya can be found chasing her toddler who thinks gravity is a myth.

- Estate Planning for blended families and families with complex requirements (Testamentary Trust Wills, Special Disability Trusts, Super Proceeds Trusts, Asset Protection, Cross-border estate planning)
- Preparation of various Powers of Attorney including Enduring Powers of Attorney, Company Powers of Attorney and Medical Treatment Decision Maker documents
- Advising on Superannuation structuring for both industry and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds including advice on Binding Death Benefit Nominations
- Representing beneficiaries in preparing Notices of Objections to Trustees of Superannuation funds in the absence of Binding Death Benefit Nomination to obtain desired allocation of funds
- Advising on large number of family provision claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in Victoria and interstate jurisdictions
- Advising on Estate dispute matters involving Will validity issues, Will construction issues, removal of executor applications, probate caveat applications, beneficiary claims and other estate disputes
- Assisting families and executors with estate administration process with a focus on complex estate administration involving multiple beneficiaries and trusts requiring complex Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration Applications, reseal of Grants and Deeds of Family Arrangements
- Representing clients in the trusts and equity jurisdiction (trust disputes, business disputes, removal of trustees, misappropriation claims, caveat matters, promissory estoppel claims, applications for judicial advice)
- Representing and advising clients in the Victorian and Civil Administrative Tribunal for guardianship and administrative matters including disputes involving attorneys' conduct (pre and post death)
- Advising trustees in amending and varying trust deeds, including removing beneficiaries and changing positions of control
