Senior Associate/Special Counsel – Family & Relationship Law (5+ years PQE) – Melbourne or Geelong

About the role

As we continue to expand our practice, we are looking for a professional and highly motivated Senior Associate/Special Counsel with demonstrated experience in Family and Relationship Law.

A good understanding of matters including complex property division and financial issues for married and de-facto parties, children’s care arrangements, spousal maintenance, child support and intervention orders will be beneficial to your success in this role.

We are looking for someone who is able to work full time or part time and be based in our Melbourne or Geelong office with flexibility to work from home.

You will need:

  • Minimum of five years post-admission experience in Family and Relationship law
  • Proven experience practising in a team environment
  • Proven ability to provide an excellent quality of work
  • Efficient time management to maintain control of key priorities
  • Ability to develop referrers and engage in business development
  • Coaching, mentoring and leadership skills

You will bring:

  • Solid Family & Relationship law knowledge
  • Proven ability to work in a high volume team
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, proactive and flexible attitude
  • Experience with Lexis Affinity and iManage desirable but not essential
